Author Guidelines

1. General Requirements

Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Economic Development and Public Policy must be original works that have not been published previously and are not currently under consideration by another journal.

  • Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the Online Submission System. Authors need to [Register] or [Login] to the journal website to submit their work and track the progress of the review process.

  • Correspondence: All correspondence will be directed to the corresponding author. For further inquiries, please contact the Editorial Office at: [editor.jedpp@rnd-prime.com].

2. Manuscript Types

The journal accepts the following types of contributions:

  • 2.1. Original Research Articles Full-length empirical or theoretical investigations consisting of an Introduction, Literature Review, Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusions. The manuscript must offer new and significant findings.

    • Length: Maximum 7,000 words or approximately 8–12 printed pages (including abstract, references, tables, and figures).

    • References: Minimum of 25 references, primarily from reputable international journals indexed by Scopus or Web of Science.

  • 2.2. Review Articles Critical evaluations of current research that organize, integrate, and assess previously published materials. We encourage meta-analyses and systematic reviews. The article should provide a comprehensive overview and interpretation of a specific field.

    • Length: Maximum 5,000 words or 8–10 printed pages.

  • 2.3. Special Issues Papers derived from conferences, seminars, congresses, or symposia.

    • Length: Maximum 4,000 words or 6–8 printed pages.

  • 2.4. Short Communications Brief reports on technical advances, significant new information, or comments/letters to the Editor.

    • Length: Maximum 2,000 words or up to 4 printed pages.

3. Language

Manuscripts can be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. However, manuscripts in English are preferred for broader accessibility. The text must be grammatically correct, clear, and concise.

  • Authors whose native language is not English are strongly advised to have their manuscripts proofread by a professional language editor or a native speaker before submission.

4. Manuscript Structure

4.1. Title Page

  • Title: Should be concise, straightforward, and informative. Maximum length: 12 words (or approx. 150 characters).

  • Authorship: List full names (without academic titles) and institutional affiliations for all authors.

  • Corresponding Author: Provide the name, email address, and phone number of the author responsible for correspondence.

4.2. Abstract The abstract must be a single paragraph of under 250 words. It should not contain references or abbreviations. The structure should implicitly cover:

  • Introduction: Background and purpose of the study.

  • Method: Research design, analytical/statistical methods, and data used.

  • Results: Main findings.

  • Conclusions: Implications of the findings.

4.3. Keywords Provide 3 to 5 keywords, arranged alphabetically, that accurately reflect the subject, method, and focus of the paper.

5. Main Text Organization

Original research articles should generally follow this structure:

  1. Introduction

  2. Literature Review

  3. Research Methods

  4. Results and Discussion

  5. Conclusions

  6. Acknowledgments (Optional)

  7. References

Note: Authors are strongly encouraged to use the Journal Template provided on the website.

6. Citations and References

The journal adheres to the APA Style (American Psychological Association), latest edition.

6.1. In-text Citations

  • One author: (Walker, 2017) or Walker (2017)

  • Two authors: (Walker & Allen, 2016) or Walker and Allen (2016)

  • Three or more authors: (Walker et al., 2015) or Walker et al. (2015)

  • Institutional authors: First citation: (International Monetary Fund [IMF], 2017); subsequent citations: (IMF, 2017).

6.2. Reference List

  • Reference Management Software: Authors are required to use software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

  • Quantity & Quality: The bibliography must contain at least 25 titles.

  • Currency: At least 80% of references should be from primary sources (scientific journals) published within the last 10 years.

  • Format: The section title "REFERENCES" should be bold, left-aligned, and capitalized.

Examples:

  • Journal Article: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, volume number(issue number), pages. https://doi.org/xx.xxx

  • Book: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle. Publisher.

7. Technical Details

7.1. Equations Equations and formulas must be written using Microsoft Equation Editor. Each equation should be numbered consecutively in square brackets explicitly on the right margin (e.g., [1]).

7.2. Tables and Figures

  • Format: Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1).

  • Quality: Figures/images must be of high resolution (high contrast black and white or color).

  • Placement: Embed tables and figures within the text at the appropriate points, not at the end of the manuscript.

  • File Size: Ensure the final manuscript file size does not exceed 5 MB.
