Plagiarism Policy
1. POLICY STATEMENT
Applied Management, Business and Finance (AMBF) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin software to ensure originality. Plagiarism is defined as the presentation of another person's thoughts, words, data, or arguments as one's own without proper attribution. This includes self-plagiarism (recycling one's own previously published work without citation).
2. SIMILARITY THRESHOLD
The journal sets a maximum similarity index of 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the author for revision or rejected, depending on the nature of the overlap.
3. ACTION POLICY
If plagiarism is detected, the Editorial Board will take action based on the severity of the violation:
Minor Plagiarism (Similarity < 20% with citation errors)
Definition: Small sections or short sentences are copied, or there is improper citation of sources without intent to deceive.
Action: The author receives a warning and is required to revise the text and correct citations immediately.
Intermediate Plagiarism (Similarity > 20% or significant copying)
Definition: Significant paragraphs, data, or distinct ideas are copied from other sources without attribution.
Action: The manuscript is automatically rejected.
Severe Plagiarism (Theft of Intellectual Property)
Definition: Large portions of the paper are plagiarized, including the reproduction of original results, data, methods, or equations from other publications.
Action: The manuscript is rejected, and the authors are banned from submitting to the journal in the future.
